Background of Broker/Owner
Prior to becoming a real estate broker, I owned and managed several information services companies dedicated to providing credit information to the financial industry. Earlier in my career I was the national sales manager for a NYSE traded manufacturer and marketer of electronic interconnect products and services. This experience allowed me to obtain an understanding of the opportunities and risks when investing and leveraging a variety of different asset classes.
Owning a family ranch in Karnes County, and working on other South Texas land owner’s real estate projects, has given me a measure of familiarity with the many complications and issues that arise in ownership and conveying surface and mineral estates. Real property such as land and mineral holdings offer a usable and inherently understood investment option. Unlike Land and mineral assets, companies can print more stock certificates, and government can print more bonds and dollar bills, making it difficult to determine the long term value of these paper assets.
Recently I founded Land Investex, LLC to round out representation options offered to buyers interested in investing in land and mineral assets. I am also a Broker associated with Texas Land & Ranch Co. and participate closely with Texas Landmen LLC, which is a network of the top brokers in Texas. We specialize in the successful representation of South Texas and Hill Country buyers and sellers of live water, mineral, recreational, hunting, ranching, farming, retirement, investment, development, and income producing properties. Whatever your real estate investment goals might be, I am happy to visit with you about your needs, or just discuss current market trends.
How InvesTex is Helpful
I believe our experience, market knowledge, work ethic, and close relationships with qualified brokers, buyers and sellers is extremely useful when planning any real estate project. Having specific objectives and patience are the conduits to achieve real estate investment goals, and it’s these skills and attributes that are the keys to successfully executing your investment plans. Experience also brings an understanding and appreciation of the possible complications and issues that can arise in land ownership and conveying property. It is an Investex goal to make every transaction as smooth and stress-free as possible.
The timing to convert cash and paper assets into real property is very good. Investing in stocks or other paper assets places a great deal, maybe all, of the responsibility for the soundness of your investment is in the hands of other people. Land prices in Texas are still at levels not available to investors for many years, and land is a real asset that provides its owner many significant and tangible advantages.
